Welcome to the ridiculously turbocharged, imbalanced, 211mph club. How tough do you think you are?

I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I feel like all modern 911s are compromised because of their apparent need to hark back to the past and also a need to look modern. I think the newer ones look too confused at what they're trying to be, especially the GT3s. They are the supercar version of whats happened to Mini
I like the early ones and unlike the sheeple that believe anything TG (and more specifically Clarkson) says I don't have an issue with it being rear engined. But I would like to see a more clean evolution of the style. I like the slant nose versions and think they could have easily gone that direction and then evolved again.
Since they already have way too many versions I say they break it down as follows:
Classic 911 look, RWD, N/A, for the person who wants the look and feel of a 911
Targa, available in RWD or AWD, N/A, same look as above, because targa
evolved look, AWD, turbo, nice interior, faster than the fastest cayman
evolved look, AWD, stripped interior, track day monster
If I had the money I would buy one of each.

HUH?! Supercar versions of whats happened to Mini?? Except a Porsche is a Porsche, a Mini is not still a Mini...not the same comparison when the lineage has changed hands therefor the idea of concept too. Sure, Porsche falls into the VW group now but it's still the same family...Mini, can't be British then all of a sudden German! lol

I just meant by the way they have clung to the retro styling. Not trying to say that modern porsches aren't good I just don't care for the way they look. I guess I just wish there was another rear engined supercar that had similar driving dynamics that didn't look like every 911.
I meant it more in the sense that the mini face won't evolve (though I could be proven wrong with the alleged new coupe/roadster). And I have no problem with keeping 911s having that look I just want another option. (Though I don't have the money to spend on a porsche so useless want for now)
